Does this blog post "denigrate" President Obama? I truly hope that is not what the previous commenter is saying. This blog post, specifically, is calling attention to the very points the commenter is suggesting. nnIf it was just a vent, then I totally understand. Christians are not called to be right. They are called to love. That does NOT mean that we have to accept every idea out there, but we do have to see people in the light of Christ's love for them.nnThe truth is we all have opinions. Some of these progress or change as we grow older. I can't presume to judge a person's heart based on their opinions. On the other hand, I don't have to enjoy them. In one sense I have a right to express my opinions to the contrary of others. On the other hand, it is not I who live, but Christ in me. My "rights" don't really mean much if I really love people. nnThis site's disclaimer is that it IS an expression of thoughts, ideas, and opinions. I make every attempt to speak the truth in love. I believe the above blog article expresses love even though my personal politics disagree with the current administration. If I miss it, I apologize. I'm not writing to inflame anyone, and I encourage a civilized discussion on any topic I post.nnI appreciate your views.

Monday, 14 June 2010 New T-Shirt Design in Time for Father's Day

I've designed a new t-Shirt just in time for Father's Day.

Have your kids brought home the Silly Bandz yet? Mine have. I even wear a few some times! If you haven't heard of them, where have you been. lol. They are the latest thing. Silly Bandz are colorful plastic bands shaped in all kinds of fun topics like animals, boats, and even instruments.

Big Families Make Our own silly bandsI thought it would be cute to make a play on words to show off the fact that many large families have built in musical talents. Some even take their groups on the road!

My design shows Silly Bandz in the shapes of a musical note and a saxophone with the words "Big families make our own Silly bands". I deliberately spelled bands with an "s" to avoid copyright issues.

So whether your kids play instruments or you really do have a family band, and you think Dad would be "silly" enough to want to brag about it, this would make a great Father's Day gift for him.

But they're not just for dad. I also have them in women's shirts for mom too. Mom's like to brag too, right? :-)
